The Journal of Rural Development and Applied Technology (JRDAT) is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and integrity of personal information collected throughout the scholarly publishing process. As an open-access, peer-reviewed journal published by the Center for Rural Areas Empowerment (P2D), Institut Teknologi Bandung, we recognize that responsible management of personal data is essential to maintaining trust within the global research community.

Purpose of Data Collection
Personal information is processed solely for purposes directly related to academic publishing, including:
- manuscript submission and editorial processing;
- peer review management;
- communication between authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial staff;
- production, publication, indexing, and dissemination of scholarly articles;
- DOI registration and metadata distribution;
- journal administration and user authentication;
- improving website functionality, usability, and publication services;
- maintaining publication ethics and research integrity.
Personal information will never be used for commercial marketing or unrelated promotional activities.
Confidentiality of Peer Review
The Journal of Rural Development and Applied Technology maintains strict confidentiality throughout the peer-review process.
Information relating to submitted manuscripts, reviewer identities, editorial decisions, and confidential communications is accessible only to authorized editorial personnel involved in the publication process.
Reviewers are expected to treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential documents and must not disclose or use unpublished material for personal or professional advantage.

Although every reasonable effort is made to secure journal data, no electronic communication or online storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

- request deletion of personal data when such deletion does not conflict with publication ethics, legal obligations, or the integrity of the scholarly record.
