Vapor pressures and saturated liquid molar volumes of hydrocarbons up to n-C16 were predicted using equations of states. The equations of states used were Redlich-Kwong (RK), Mohsen Nia et al.-Redlich-Kwong (MRK), Saave-Redlich-Kwong (SRK), and Peng-Robinson (PR). The calculated values were compared to the experimental data extracted from various sources. The results indicated that PR eos was superior among the others.

The FLUENT V4.25 program is the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation. It can be used for fluid flow and heat transfer analyses and others. Regarding the program, the test is needed to know the validity, to verify that the program will give good output. Based on the test using experimental data on four heated parallel rod bundles, the output FL UENT V4.25, it gave a good result, where the differences between calculation and experimental data are not significant. It is expected that the FLUENT V4. 25 program may achieve success in thermo-hydraulic analysis on other similar systems.

Non-conventional cutting is required for quality production which is usually difficult to be achieved by conventional cutting. Besides non-conventional cutting provides advantages in simpliï¬ed cutting process and its flexibility. This paper describes the theory of non-conventional cutting process using abrasive water-jet, the design and manufacturing of the cutter and also the performance testing.

This paper describes the motivation and design criteria for the development of a couple-tank control system which is intended to be used as a demonstration apparatus for a lecture course on Introduction to Control Systems. The work also demonstrates the performances of the controlled system in tracking various types of command inputs, Control strategies implemented to the system are On-Off control, Proportional control and Proportional-Integral control. Influences of dynamic interaction between channels on the performance degradation are also shown in this work. Except as a control system…
